Eugene J. Cabble was born on June 11, 1914, in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. He was the son of Edward John Cabble and Mary Catherine Ford Waite Cabble. He was the husband of Martina Renne.

Cabble attended St. Mary of Immaculate Concepcion Parochial School and before entering the army was employed by the William Cabble Excelsior Wire Works. He served in the Medical Department, United States Army as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 22, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
