James Wesley Camp was born on September 6, 1925, in Georgia. He was the son of Charles B. Camp. He served in Company L, 3rd Battalion, 21st Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 27, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
