Clyde Alva Campbell was born on January 1, 1922, in Craig, Moffat County, Colorado. He was the son of Alva Jesse Campbell and Crissie Ann Rhodes Campbell.
He served in the Weapons Company, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
