Elmer Charles Craddock was born on December 29, 1924, in Lincoln, Placer County, California. He was the son of Elihu James "Hugh" Craddock and Mary Narcissa Webber Craddock.
He served in Company B, 4th Amphibious Tractor Battalion, United States Marine Corps as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
