Desmond B. Daniels was born on January 18, 1918, in Elsmere, Cherry County, Nebraska. He was the son of Benjamin William Daniels and Sylva Saline Carter Daniels.
He served in the 89th Infantry Regiment, 77th Division as a Sergeant during World War II. He died from his wounds received in battle on July 30, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
