Charles Allen Davis was born on November 17, 1922, in Ramah, McKinley County, New Mexico. He was the son of Charles Joy Davis and Eulla Eliza "Eulla" Merrill Davis. He was married to Ruth Allred Rais.
He served in the Weapons Company, 9th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Corporal during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
