Harold William DeLoura was born on July 6, 1925, in Rochester, Monroe County, New York. He was the son of Jewell C. DeLoura and Hattie Ruehl Leege.
He served in the Battery D, 2nd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He died from his wounds received in battle on July 26, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
