Lowell Henry Ford was born on February 20, 1925, in Danville, Vermilion County, Illinois. He was the son of Roy Lowell Ford and Mabel Dorothy Depke Ford.
He served in Company F, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 25, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
