Hugh Mortimer Fraser was born on February 15, 1921, in Chicago Heights, Cook County, Illinois. He was the son of Norman Appleton Fraser and Frances May Ludden Fraser.
He served in Company C, 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
