Paul Andrew Gevelinger was born on September 24, 1918. He was the son of Alphonse Gevelinger and Anna Kieffer Gevelinger.
He served in the United States Naval Reserve as an Ensign during World War II. He was declared as Missing in Action on July 20, 1944, during the Battle for Guam. He has also a cenotaph in Saint Marys Cemetery, Mineral Point, Iowa County, Wisconsin, USA.
