Charles Lee Guin Jr. was born on August 31, 1924, in Alabama. He was the son of Charlie Lee Guin and Dessie Lee McCool Hackett.
He served in Company G, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
