Clyde Eugene “Gene” Hatch was born on February 17, 1925, in Woods Cross, Davis County, Utah. He was the son of Clyde Alvin Hatch and Myrtle Irene Butterfield Hatch.
He served in Company E, 2nd Battalion, 21st Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 22, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
