Paul Vincent Hearne was born on April 26, 1922. He was the son of Paul P. Hearne and Lillian M. McGuigan Hearne.
He served in Company F, 2nd Battalion, 21st Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 22, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
