Oren Ralph Hill was born on May 3, 1919, in Garvin County, Oklahoma. He was the son of William Leroy Hill and Kate Minerva Hays Hill.
He served in the Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 21st Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Sergeant during World War II. He died from his wounds received in battle on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
