Robert LeRoy Holland was born on May 20, 1910, in Seattle, King County, Washington. He was the son of John O. Holland and
Ingaborg "Inga" Tonneson Holland.
He served in Company C, 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
