Othell “Bob” Johnson was born on September 21, 1919, in Westminster, Collin County, Texas. He was the son of Mose Ike Johnson and Nellie Stephens Johnson. He was married to Roxie Rachel Marlow Looney.
He served in Company L, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He died on August 10, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
