Glen Gillis Krook was born on September 15, 1924, in Seattle, King County, Washington. He was the son of Ivar Fredrik "Frank" Krook and Phyllis Inez Leader Alber.
He served in Company I, 3rd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Corporal during World War II. He died from his wounds received in battle on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
