Joseph Frank Lemanski was born on July 19, 1914, in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Aleksander Lemanski and Stella Louise Pryk Lemanski.
He served in Company B, 1st Battalion, 22nd Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade as a Corporal during World War II. he was Killed in Action on July 23, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
