Harlan Hurd Marsh was born on July 21, 1922, in Grants Lick, Campbell County, Kentucky. He was the son of Louis Ertman Marsh and Virginia E. Hurd Marsh.
He served in Company B, 4th Amphibian Tractor Battalion, 33rd Amphibian Corps as a Corporal during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
