Larry Marshall was born on April 12, 1918, in Glasgow, Valley County, Montana. He was the son of Walton Barnes Marshall and Elizabeth Edonis "Bessey" Davis Marshall.
He served in the Weapons Company, 9th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 6, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
