William Alfred McCutcheon was born on October 2, 1925. He was the son of Scott McCutcheon and Cozie Mae Kingsley McCutcheon.
He served in Company A, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
