Lee Grant McGlothlin Jr. was born on September 14, 1921. He was the son of Marshall Lee Grant McGlothlin and Harriett Eliza "Hattie" House McGlothlin.
He served in Company G, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 28, 1944, during the Battle for Guam. He also has a cenotaph at Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Litchfield, Montgomery County, Illinois, USA.
