Stanley Eugene Morris was born on March 25, 1925, in Washington. He was the son of Scott Joe Morris and Ada L. Johnson Morris.
He served in the 323rd Bomber Squadron, 91st Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. He was the waist gunner of B-17G 43-37594 "Strictly GI" that was shot down after a bombing mission in Mannheim and Ludwigshafen, Germany, crashing at Lachen-Speyerdorf Forest. He was Killed in Action on September 9, 1944 during the mission.
