Thomas Wise Peeler Jr. was born on March 29, 1922, in Tyler, Smith County, Texas. He was the son of Thomas W. Peeler and Ruth Honeycutt Malone.
He served in Company L, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Sergeant during World War II. He died from his wounds received in battle on July 26, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
