Stephen “Ted” Puhalo was born on October 15, 1921, in Iron Mountain, Dickinson County, Michigan. He was the son of Stephen Milan Puhalo.
He served in Company F, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 25, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
