John Stanley Reeves was born on August 30, 1921, in Colorado. He was the son of Thomas James Arthur Reeves and Mary Purnie Motteshard Reeves.
He served in Company G, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 26, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
