Orville Eugene Rime was born on November 6, 1920, in Rock Dell, Olmsted County, Minnesota. He was the son of Elmer A. Rime and Tilla B. Thompson Rime.
He served in the Engineer Company, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade as a Private First Class during World War II. He died on July 24, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
