Robert Allen Roth was born on May 30, 1921, in Berwyn, Cook County, Illinois. He was the son of Robert W. Roth and Jane "Jennie" Pruett Roth.
He served in Company B, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade as a Corporal during World War II. he died from his wounds received in battle on July 22, 1944, during the Battle for Guam. He was buried at sea.
