Ronald Nathan Savage was born on October 31, 1918, in Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa. He was the son of Charles Nathan Savage and Rose Vale Woolworth Savage. He was married to Bethel Anderson.
He served in the Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Corporal during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 9, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
