Morris Schneider was born in 1912. He served in the 77th Infantry Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He died on August 7, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.

The President of the United States takes pride in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross (Posthumously) to Morris Schneider (32653024), Private First Class, U.S. Army, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving with the 77th Infantry Division, in action against enemy forces on 7 August 1944. Private First Class Schneider's intrepid actions, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty at the cost of his life, exemplify the highest traditions of the military forces of the United States and reflect great credit upon himself, the 77th Infantry Division, and the United States Army.
