George Warren Small was born on March 30, 1925, in Otto, Falls County, Texas. He was the son of George Washington Small and Matilda Mae Griffin Small.
He served in the Headquarters and Service Company, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 30, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
