Carlos Craig Stevenson was born on October 3, 1913, in Larned, Pawnee County, Kansas. He was the son of Carlos S. "Carl" Stevenson and Mildred "Millie" Gooch Stevenson. He was married to Thelma Stevenson.
He served in Company E, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 29, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
