Jay Raymond Threewit was born on January 10, 1919. He was the son of Sidney Ivan Threewit and Bertha M. Sly Threewit.
He served in the Weapons Company, 22nd Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade as a Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 25, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
