Emmett Anthony Traweek was born on August 20, 1917. He was the son of Anthony Stonewall Traweek and Arispy Opelia Dobbins Traweek.
He served in the Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade as a Corporal during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 3, 1944, during the Battle for Guam. He was buried at sea but also had a cenotaph in West Park Cemetery, Hereford, Deaf Smith County, Texas, USA.
