June Selman Tuggle was born on October 9, 1924, in Missouri. He was the son of Forest Tuggle and
Erma Frances Bennett Tuggle.
He served in Company B, 4th Amphibian Tractor Battalion, 3rd Amphibious Corps as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
