Herby Othel Tutor was born on March 16, 1919. He was the son of Walter Lee Tutor and Myra Elvis Griffin Tutor.
He served in Company G, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade as a Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 27, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
