Raymond Eugene “Gene” Vinson was born on September 28, 1921. He was the son of Raymond Warner Vinson and Mary Edith Foulks Vinson.
He served in Company L, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade as a Platoon Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 27, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
