Watkins Page Von Cannon was born on June 16, 1916, in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. He was the son of William Walter VonCannon.
He served in Company B, 1st Battalion, 22nd Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade as a Platoon Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
