Melvin Ralph White was born on April 26, 1925, in Eaton, Weld County, Colorado. He was the son of William Hanford "Doc" White and Dorothy Louise Keeton White.
He served in Company E, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 28, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
