Frank P. McNally was born on August 25, 1925, in Hazleton, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. He entered the service on September 10, 1943, a few months after graduating from St. Gabriel's High School.
Frank McNally served in Company L, 329th Infantry Regiment, 83rd Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 12, 1944, during the Liberation of Saint-Malo in France. Pfc. McNally was buried at Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France, and was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
