Kenneth A. Anderson was born in 1920, in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. He was the son of Albert D. Anderson and Florence Anderson. Kenneth worked as a helper at a transfer and trucking company before he enlisted in the service on March 13, 1941.

He served in the 5th Reconnaissance Squadron, 3rd Photo Group, as a Technician Fourth Grade during World War II. T4 Anderson was Killed in Action on August 8, 1944, during the liberation of Angers in France. He was buried at Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, Colleville-sur-Mer, Departement du Calvados, Basse-Normandie, France, and was awarded the Purple Heart.
