Theo Jasper Master was born on October 5, 1921, in Hubbard, Hill County, Texas. He was the son of Theo Jackson Master and Annie Bell Eison Master. He was the husband of Katherine Inez Chapman Smith.

Theo served in Company C, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. SSgt Master was Killed in Action on June 13, 1944, during the Battle of the Moulin des Rondelles in France. He was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Hubbard, Hill County, Texas, USA, and was awarded the Purple Heart.
