Roy Macomb Callahan was born on January 31, 1919, in Arkansas. He was the son of Euness Macum Callahan and Rosie Mahalie Ransom Callahan. He was the husband of Helen Callahan. He entered service in 1941. Roy served in the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, as a Technician 4th Grade during World War II. He was Killed in Action on June 7, 1944, and was buried at Woodman Cemetery McCrory, Woodruff County, Arkansas, USA.
