George Edward Tillett was born on March 1, 1919, in Ramey, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of David John Tillett and Mae Lilly Decker Tillett.
George served in the Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 507th Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. PFC Tillett was Killed in Action on June 11, 1944, when the church tower he was using as an observation post was hit during the Battle of Graignes in France. He is now buried in Beulah Cemetery, Ramey, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, USA.
