Francis Peter Postupak was born on February 5, 1921, in Watervliet, Albany County, New York. He was the son of Peter Postupak and Catherine Postupak. Francis served in the 410th Infantry Regiment, 103rd Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. PFC Postupak was Killed in Action on November 16, 1944, during the liberation of Alsace, France. He is now buried in the Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial, Epinal, Departement des Vosges, Lorraine, France. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
