James Cecil Moseley was born on December 14, 1919, in Decatur, Morgan County, Alabama. He was the husband of Ruth Sarah Newman Moseley.
James served in Company A, 1st Ranger Battalion, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was one of 50 US Army Rangers who participated with British Commando on the Dieppe raid in 1942. He transferred into the 3rd Ranger Battalion and was promoted to T/4. He ended his service as a Sergeant. Sgt Moseley died on February 6, 2005, and is now buried in Roselawn Memorial Park, Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, USA.
