Claude Jackson Huffman was born on June 16, 1925, in Half Moon, Onslow County, North Carolina. He was the son of Isaiah H. Huffman and Ellen Delilah "Ella" Ramsey Huffman.
Claude served in the 142nd Infantry Regiment, 36th Infantry Division as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on November 30, 1944, during the liberation of Kintzheim, France. Pvt Huffman is now buried in the Huffman Family Cemetery, Half Moon, Onslow County, North Carolina, USA. In his headstone, the inscribed death date is October 30, 1944.
