Dante Primiterra was born on March 15, 1925, in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He served in the 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 4, 1944, during the liberation of Landelles-et-Coupigny, France. Pvt Primiterra is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
