Charles W. Keller was born on August 9, 1920, in Newport, Campbell County, Kentucky. He was the son of Charles P. Keller and Eva Viola Ort Keller. He was employed by the Standard Publishing Co. before entering the Army on December 11, 1943.
Charles served in the 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 5, 1944, during the liberation of Vire, France. Pvt Keller is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
