Born on July 27, 2920 in New York. Serves as the Waist Gunner on the B-17 (42-31349) Stars and Stripes 2nd Edition of the 550th Bomber Squadron, 385th Bomber Group of the 8th Air Force during WW2. Was KIA on a mission on February 24, 1944 to Bomb Rostock, Germany. All ten of the crew were KIA. Malmfelt's body washed ashore in Denmark where a memorial remembers him. Source: Airway Denmark.
